Hello, Kevin! It's great to welcome you to planDisney! As the mom of a big family, I truly believe there is no better place to take an extended family vacation than
Walt Disney World Resort. There is something for everyone, and experiencing the magic with those you love is indescribable. I'm so excited for you! I know the planning aspect can feel daunting, but I'm here to help!
While there aren't any official trip planning services offered by Disney, the process isn't as difficult as you might think. It's actually a lot of fun! And you'll have planDisney with you every step of the way. You can start with
this guide, but I'd say your first big decision will be the
Disney Resort hotel. Dates for April 2028 will probably be released in the spring or summer of next year, so you have plenty of time to do your research.
I'm going to recommend one of my favorites,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The theming here is incredible, you feel like you've stepped into your favorite Disney movies!
The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool at Walt Disney World, and the
Landscape of Flavors food court is so convenient, especially for large families. They offer standard rooms, as well as family suites that have two bathrooms and sleep up to six! On top of all that, you get access to
Disney's Skyliner! It's transportation to both
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and it's an attraction at the same time!
If you feel like you'd like extra assistance, you can search for an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner." These travel agents are recognized by Disney for providing excellent service. Most provide their services at no additional cost to you. In the meantime, you can search YouTube or social media platforms for information about the resort hotels and theme parks. It will help you make decisions about your own visit. Don't get overwhelmed, though. There's lots of information about
Early Theme Park Entry and
Lightning Lane Passes,
After Hours Events, and
Enchanting Extras. These are all things you can consider once your trip is closer.
You might still be a few years from that dream vacation, Kevin, but it's never too early to get excited about visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth, and the anticipation is part of the magic! You can always submit additional questions here at
planDisney, or to me directly via
this link. We love helping guests plan their magical vacations!
Always Dreaming -
Elizabeth
