Does Disney offer anything that replicates an authentic ballroom experience where guests can dress up and dance a waltz?

Hi John, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I remember seeing Beauty and the Beast in the movie theater, and being utterly spellbound as Beast and Belle danced across the grand ballroom.

I absolutely love this idea, John, but I'm sorry to report that Walt Disney World Resort does not currently offer a ballroom dance experience. Please keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, as that’s where new experiences are often announced. If you love dance and music, I think you would enjoy the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for dance offerings in next year’s festival lineup.

My fellow Moms Panelist Kristen pointed out that there are special couples' dances in Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. While you won't be waltzing, both shows offer a fun chance to get on the dance floor with your partner and make some magical memories.

I know I’m dreaming big here, John, but another idea to explore is an Adventures by Disney trip. There are some fantastic cultural experiences to choose from, and the Austria and Czech Republic Vacation includes waltz lessons! How incredible would that be?

I hope I’ve helped brainstorm some practical and some pixie dusted possibilities. I’m going to leave you with this great video of the waltzing ghosts from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – I love that each pair has a spooky backstory that inspires their choreography.

    With warm waltz wishes,
    Robyn
