We’re going to Disney in October with our 2 year old & our baby who will be 8 months at the time of our trip. My currently 7 week old had open heart surgery to repair the veins in his heart. Could we get a disability pass or no?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mariah! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth this fall; October is one of my favorite times of year to experience the Walt Disney World Resort! I hope you love it as much as I do.

Mariah, thanks for bringing this great question about the Disability Access Service up for clarification. The Disability Access Service is designed to accommodate guests who aren't able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to a disability. Because every situation is unique, there really is no quick "yes" or "no" answer in regards to eligibility, but more a consideration of how your son's needs might affect his ability to experience some attractions. My best recommendation is to contact Disability Services directly and speak to a knowledgeable Cast Member about your family's situation and your son's limitations and needs post heart surgery. If you want to wait until you arrive, you can visit Guest Relations at any of the four parks and speak to a Cast Member there. In the meantime, it might also be helpful to know that the Disability Access Service Card is separate from the Fastpass+ system. So, make sure to still book those Fastpass+ selections in advance!

Mariah, while you are planning for your upcoming trip, and keeping your baby in mind, did you know that there are Baby Care Centers at all four parks? These offer a great space to cool off, feed, change or give medicine to little ones. In your situation, it might be helpful to know the location of these centers before you arrive. For example, if you are headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios so that your toddler can experience Disney Junior- Live on Stage! you'll find the Baby Care Center near the park entrance on Hollywood Boulevard.

Mariah, I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to October. Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other vacation planning questions!

Wishing you a trip full of pixie dust and unforgettable moments,
