I am going to disney in October of this year for the first time with my kids, boys ages 9 and 6 and my husband. I am torn between Bay Lake Tower and the Beach Club Resort. I can't decide i was wondering if you could give me pros and cons of both. Thanks

    Hi Robin,

Both resorts are wonderful!  My family's favorite, however is Beach Club.  The pool is so much fun, especially for your boys, and you can't beat the location.  Epcot is just steps away, and you can even walk to Hollywood Studios if you so choose.  To me, the only negative about staying here is the bus transportation.  Your bus will stop at Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, Yacht Club, and Beach Club; it can get a bit crowded at times, and all of those stops take quite a bit of travel time.  However, you will quickly learn to get off at the first stop and walk to your resort - problem solved!

Bay Lake Tower is really nice as well.  It's super convenient if you are planning on spending a lot of time at Magic Kingdom. You're just steps away from some great dining: Chef Mickey's, The Wave, and California Grill are all located inside the Contemporary.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
