We are going to Disney in October and planning on going to the MK one full day and then the MNSSHP the next night. We are wanting to reserve seats for the dessert party. Will it be available on the night of the party and is that a good time to do it?

    Hi Darren!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I absolutely love visiting Walt Disney World Resort during that time of year and I'm sure you will too!

Unfortunately, the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party will not be offered on the same nights that Magic Kingdom park offers Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Even if it was being offered, I would tell you to choose another night because there will be so many exciting things to see and do during the Halloween Party. All of these things are unique to the Halloween Party and you wouldn't be able to do them any other time. For instance, all of your favorite characters will be dressed in their Halloween costumes and will be posing for pictures and autographs. The princesses may even have their princes with them so little ones are able to meet Prince Charming AND Cinderella! There will be dance parties throughout Magic Kingdom, trick or treating, and chances to meet other characters who aren't always available on a "normal" day in the park. So the bottom line is that you'll need every minute you have during the Halloween Party to make the most of it!

For special event parties like this, my family usually takes it easy in the morning, rests for a while after lunch and then heads out for a quick dinner so we can get to the party and enjoy ourselves. Even though the party doesn't officially start until 7:00 p.m., you are typically allowed to enter starting around 4:00 p.m.

I hope you have a wonderful trip, and I hope you make lots of magical memories! If you have any other questions, just stop back by and ask.

    Happy planning!
