We are going to Disney in October with our 7 month old and a group of friends. I am debating getting the memory maker. Is it worth it even though it appears that none of the rides that our 7 month old can ride takes pictures.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dara!

Memory Maker is one of the things I love about our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, especially when our little Mouseketeers are with us. I am not always very good at remembering to stop and take pictures with my own camera. If my husband is in charge of photography, then we often get a lot of pictures of me and the kids with my husband behind the camera. But Memory Maker allows us to document our trip with fantastic photos of all of our family. Our family gets the most out of our Memory Maker purchase by stopping to get our picture taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers as often as possible. My youngest son's first trip was when he was 8 months old and I love the pictures we have of our family in front of Cinderella Castle, at Epcot around World Showcase and meeting Mickey Mouse for the first time! When he met Goofy in Epcot, Goofy was so wonderful with him and encouraged him to touch his nose and stroke his fuzzy ear. We love the fact that my husband and I can enjoy these interactions with our children while being confident that all of those moments are being captured and saved!

You can choose to purchase Memory Maker prior to your trip to save a little bit of money with the Advanced Purchase discount. Or, if you're not sure on the investment, you can wait until after your trip and choose to either purchase individual photos or purchase Memory Maker at full price to download all of your photos from your trip. I did this on our last trip and there are so many good pictures that I just can't choose between them!
