We are going to Disney in October with my entire Family. Would like to stay at a value reort close to Magic Kingdom. My parents are staying at the Campsites in their motohome. Need a transpo friendly resort at value pricing.

    Hi, Kelly!

Your choices for Value Resorts are All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, or Sports), Pop Century, or Art of Animation.   Any of these resorts are about a 20 -25 minute bus ride from the Magic Kingdom.  Any Disney resort you choose will have free transportation provided around property.  The closest resorts to the Magic Kingdom are super close, but are in the Deluxe category of pricing.

A nice compromise might be a "Moderate" level choice:  The Cabins at Fort Wilderness.  These adorable cabins sleep up to 6 guests and have a full kitchen so you can enjoy some meals "at home."  You will be VERY near your parents for an easy commute to their motorhome.   This option is a bit more pricey than a Value Resort, but it might be worth it for the convenience to the Magic Kingdom and to your parents.

Look through the Value Resorts and Fort Wilderness and see what might work out best for you.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
