Hi there! Going to Disney October 21-26. We are debating on whether it's worth it (price-wise)to go to the MNSSHP. Have noticed you can trick-or-treat...are the crowds so large that it's impossible to actually do it with 3 small children? Thanks.

Hi Carrie!  I just returned from a Disney weekend and attended the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom!  It is probably my favorite special event party at Disney all year!

Although each party will have different attendance numbers and it is impossible to predict what those will be the only night I have gone where I have found longer lines is on Halloween night.  Every other time we found almost no lines for the great attractions and only had short lines for the trick or treat stations.  In different locations around the park you will find street games and fun for the kids to participate in and then a big dance party is held in Tomorrowland on these nights.

The parade is one of Disney's best in my eyes and my favorite part is the Haunted Mansion float with the grave digger and his dog walking along beside it. Of course I also love the Headless Horseman who trots out before the parade starts......very impressive show!  Goofy's Candy Company brings up the end of the parade and there will be many cast members helping to hand out some candy to all those along the route. The fireworks are special just to this party to this is truly the only way to see this entertainment while you are there.

You will have more fun if you all dress up and come in costume for the evening. There will be plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the park where you can have your Photo Pass pictures taken to remember your magical times. I definitely find this party a must for our family when we travel down there in the fall.
