Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We'll be in Disney in Oct and I would love to do something special for my mom who always helps me out and does so much for me and my son. I was thinking the perfect chocolate cake seeing how she's a chocolate fanatic where can I find the best choc cake ?

    Hi Jaclyn,
    I've got to confess, I'm a third generation chocoholic and one of the things in this world that I love most is chocolate cake. Truthfully, there aren't many real, full-sized cakes that I've seen around the Walt Disney World Resort and I'm a local girl that makes many trips each year. However, don't fear...one of the things that Disney does really, really well is...cupcakes! Huge cupcakes piled high with delicious frosting and occasionally filled with more delectable fillings that make my mouth water just thinking about them! Yes, cupcakes-big enough to get a couple and cut them up to share so everyone gets a few bites of each. And they are incredible!

    So, now you're wondering where to find these goodies, aren't you? Here's the locations that I usually go to for these treats: Magic Kingdom: Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A. and Big Top Souvenirs; Epcot: Starbucks and Sunshine Seasons located in The Land pavilion; Disney's Hollywood Studios: Starring Rolls Cafe; Disney's Animal Kingdom: Kusafari Bakery. Truth be told, many of the resorts have cupcakes also; one of my favorite resources for finding new ones to try is The Disney Food Blog (www.disneyfoodblog.com). They do a great job of telling you about the cupcakes and letting you know where to find them.
