We are going to Disney on Oct 1 !! On the day we have planned for typhoon lagoon is it calling for 3 mm of rain to me that isn't very much but I just wanted to know if I should change my plans... I don't want to get there only for the park to close.

    Hi Erin,

Wow, your Disney vacation is literally right around the corner! I'm sure you can't wait to hit the road tomorrow!

I don't know about you, but my level of productivity on the day before I leave for Walt Disney World is off the charts. On those days, I'm a man on a mission to put all of my cares behind me so I can enjoy my family vacation.

As for your question, I wouldn't worry about the weather forecast you saw. If there is a little bit of rain, your day at Typhoon Lagoon won't be sunk. (Sorry for the pun - I couldn't resist!) The only time I've seen Typhoon Lagoon totally shut down was when lightning was in the area and when extreme weather was blowing through.

So, if I were you, I'd keep your plans to hang ten at Typhoon Lagoon!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you find yourself needing to sing the "Rain, Rain, Go Away...." song while you're at Typhoon Lagoon, swing back toward the front of the park and snag a carton of mini-donuts from the donut shack near the locker area.

(Don't worry about looking for it on a map; just follow the scent of warm, delicious, fluffy donuts!)

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation!

    Best regards,
    Derek
