We are going to Disney in Oct with My daughter ,her husband and1 yr old and grandma which is me ,can we stand in line together and then wait and swap out my grand daughter to one getting off so we dont have to wait on the other to go back in line to rid

    Hi Lisa,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love using the Rider Switch Service-my two girls are not thrill seekers, unlike my boys. I hate missing out on the fast rides; thankfully the Rider Switch Service allows me to experience it all!  Unfortunately, the program does not work as you have asked-there is usually not enough space in the loading and unloading areas for the families participating in the Rider Switch to wait inside the attraction queue. However, the family member that has been waiting while the others ride first has the advantage of going into the FastPass queue for their wait, potentially saving you quite a bit of time over the regular queue for your return ride.

Lisa, I hope this helps you out. Please come back and see us if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.

I’ve grown up in Central Florida and have been visiting Disney Parks for over 30 years. Now that I’m a mom myself of a blended family with four kids, I love sharing Disney’s year-round special events with my family. Some of our favorite events are the Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Let me help you plan something extraordinary for your next Disney Parks vacation! Learn More About Amy
