We are going to Disney November 7-13 for my son's 4th birthday. We have a meal plan booked. Do you have any suggestions, besides the character meals which we are going to be doing, for a nice place for dinner that would be good for my son's 4th birthday?

    Hi Ginger,

Have you considered having dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge?  Little boys just love this rustic, fun restaurant.  There are no Disney characters at this restaurant but I have to say that the Cast Members who serve dinner here are pretty hysterical.  They're characters in their own right.  And it doesn't hurt that this restaurant is situated in the lobby of what I consider to be the most beautiful of Disney's many resorts.  The kids' activities that go on during dinner will make this a memorable experience for your son.  What a great place to celebrate a birthday!  Dining at this restaurant is a bargain at only one Disney Dining Plan table service credit per person.

Another festive option would be the Biergarten Restaurant situated in the Germany pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase.  If you reserve a table during one of their amazing shows, your son will be treated to the incredible music of an oompah band and guests are welcome to take to the floor during the musical performance and dance!  If you think an extensive German buffet suits your family's taste, then this is a really fun option.  It, too, only costs one Disney Dining Plan table service credit per person.

Let us know if you need any other suggestions!  I've got PLENTY!

When the time comes, please wish your son a magical birthday from the Moms Panel.
