Hi Lisa,
If your Mouseketeer's two favorite things are Christmas and Mickey Mouse, then he is in for a TREAT! While some
Christmas festivities, including the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and Candlelight Processional will kick-off
during your stay, on the 18th and 22nd of November respectively, you'll find that most of the Walt Disney World Resort will be decked out with gorgeous Christmas decorations, festive music will be playing, and Christmas joy will be in the air throughout your entire stay. If you get a chance, I'd encourage you to experience
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's my very
favorite special event of the entire year, and I think that your son would absolutely love it!
And yes, as the mom of an autistic son myself, I'm happy to let you know that there are quite a few
services provided for Guests with special needs. I'd encourage you to stop by Guest Relations inside the theme parks to discuss your concerns about your son's visit and the Cast Members there will be happy to help. They'll be able to share quiet locations in case he needs a sensory break, set up the Disability Access Service for him if that would be helpful, and answer any other questions you may have. My family has always found the Walt Disney World Resort to be a magical vacation destination for
everyone, and my son absolutely loves our visits there.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
