We are going to Disney in Nov. and trying to plan meals. Has anyone had breakfast at Akershus? I looked at the menu and didn't see pancakes or waffles. It would be easiest to do a breakfast there, but the menu looks kinda small and I'm a little worried. ??

    Hello Brianna,

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a fantastic place to dine not only for the princesses, but I have never been disappointed with the food there.

Yes, the menu might seem somewhat limited compared to other breakfast buffets, but the quality there is exceptional. There are also some really wonderful and unique food items. The hot options, which include breakfast meats, scrambled eggs and a breakfast potato casserole (which is cheesy and delicious), are served family-style while the cold items are served buffet style. These include some Norwegian delicacies such as salmon and herring, various cheeses, salads and the most amazing Lingonberry muffins (among other pastries)! I could eat a plate full of just these muffins and leave completely satisfied. I cannot stress enough how you need to try these muffins. They are phenomenal. So, while pancakes and waffles are not on this particular breakfast menu, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Keep in mind that menu items could change without notice.

    Have an amazing breakfast!
