We will be at Disney Nov 25-29 and staying at the Coronado Springs Resort, our daughter is participating in the parade on Thanksgiving with the UCA cheerleaders. How are crowds during this time? Weather? Hotel acomidations? This is our first visit to WDW:)

    Hi Douglas,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. My family was at Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving week last year, and we're booked again this year for the same dates as you are. It's a beautiful, exciting time to visit because of all the holiday decorations and activities. But it is a bit more crowded than at other times in the fall (though not as crowded as Christmas).

The temperature can be a bit unpredictable. Average highs are near 80 with lows near 60. I can tell you, though, that last year the mercury dropped into the 30s the night before Thanksgiving. The year before, I was at Walt Disney World a few days after Thanksgiving and the temperature was near 90. You just never know. So I suggest dressing in layers and being prepared for a range of temperatures. One plus: November is the driest month here in Central Florida, so you probably won't need rain gear.

I think you will enjoy the Coronado Springs Resort. The rooms are spacious, and the Dig Site Pool area is awesome. This resort also has a wide range of dining options. My family has stayed there twice this year. We like being in the Ranchos or Cabanas section near bus stop No. 4. We find that the most convenient not only for the buses, but also for access to the pools, lobby and restaurants.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can be more specific or answer other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
