I will be in Disney in Nov. Is Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party worth the extra money to go to?

    Hi Diane,

I love celebrating Christmas - especially at WDW!  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of my favorite events!  Because it is a special limited ticketed event, the crowds are smaller which allows you easier access & shorter wait times to a lot of the most popular attractions.  Here are some of the things featured during MVMCP:

    • Cinderella Castle is amazing all decked out in the fabulous Castle Dream Lights - be sure to watch the Castle Lighting Ceremony
    • It snows on Main Street USA
    • There is live entertained featuring Disney characters (love Santa Goofy Santa Claus - also loved Totally Tomorrowland Christmas last year & hope its back this year)
    • Special character meet & greets throughout Magic Kingdom - some wearing cool Christmas attire
    • Magic Kingdom tree lighting ceremony
    • Complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, apple juice & sliced apples at several locations in the park
    • Last year there was a DJ at Cosmic Ray's hosting a dance party - kids, adults & Cast Members had a blast
    • Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade with a special jolly man in red making an appearance - you can see this at 8:15 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. (crowds are less during the second parade)
    • Special holiday fireworks: Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season at 9:30 p.m.
I love MVMCP!  Its super fun and is an event you may or may not wish to attend every year but is something every one should attend at least once.  Wishing you very many magical Christmas memories :-)  Allison
