Going to Disney Nov 5-12, 2011 and will be attending the Christmas Party while there. First time for this and wanted to know if there is any must see experiences at the party. Also would like to know when the gingerbread houses go on display.

    Hi there Tammy!

I got was able to go to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party in December of 2010 and I can honestly say it was so much fun! Somehow the temperature dropped considerably when we were there and it was VERY cold. When we were walking down Main Street U.S.A. and the snow was coming down I would have really though we were in a blizzard! All my friends were buying up every bit of warm clothes in the Emporium! I will never forget that night! There are so many events during the party, that you really have to focus on the shows and parade. Here is a list of the main shows for this year with the times listed from last years party:

Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade (last year there were two parades 8:15 & 10:30)
Holiday Wishes Fireworks (last year it was at 9:30pm)
Celebrate The Season Show (last year there were three shows 7:45, 10:05, and 11:20pm)
A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show (takes place throughout the night)
Special Meet and greets with Disney Characters (from 7:00pm - 11:30pm)
Character Dance Parties (takes place throughout the night)

Make sure to check the special times guide and map for the Party to maximize your experience! Also, remember that you may enter the park at 4:00 PM the night of the party so that way, you can plan your time wisely.

As for the Gingerbread Displays at the resorts, they are put on display at different times during the week of Thanksgiving and if all goes as planned, all should be completely finished by the weekend. I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away! We are always here to help and thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
