    Going to Disney Nov 14-19th. Anyone know when the GF gingerbread house is scheduled to open?? Thank you!! (170 days) :-)

    Hi Cristine!

    The holidays at Walt Disney World are simply magical, the festive decorations, yummy treats and much cooler weather makes this a great time to visit!  The Gingerbread House, celebrating its 15th year, located in the Grand Floridian is a must see during the holiday season, the smell in the lobby is absolutely heavenly.  While the actual date has not been announced yet, I'm to take an educated guess based on previous dates of November 16th 2009,November 15th 2010,November 14th 2011,November 19th 2012.  All of these dates fell on a Monday the week before Thanksgiving, so based on those dates my best guess would be that it should be opened around November 18th this year.  The house itself is typically open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm where you can actually buy a gingerbread house of your very own.

    I really hope you get the chance to see the gingerbread house, please check back as November gets close to be sure of the exact date.  Also know that there is other magnificent gingerbread creations located at Disney's Deluxe Resorts, these are definitely worth checking out!
