Hi Disney Moms. We are not doing the main theme parks this visit and instead see Disney Springs, the water parks and mini golf. What is the best way to purchase water park tickets for multi days and can we add them to magic bands? Any DVC discount? Thank

    Hi Melissa,

My family and I love enjoying all that there is to do outside of the theme parks at Walt Disney World as well! On nearly every trip, we spend a day at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

When purchasing Disney water park tickets, the choices are a one-day ticket, a seasonal one-day ticket, or an annual pass.  Both of the one-day tickets will allow you in for one day; however, the seasonal tickets are currently $5 less expensive and have blackout dates of May 28 - August 28 in 2016. As Disney Vacation Club members, we currently receive $4 off of the price of a one-day ticket for guests ages 10 and up, and $3 off the price of a one-day ticket for guests ages 3 - 9 years old. Currently, the price of an annual pass allows you to break even on cost after two days of visits to Disney water parks! So if you are planning to visit the water parks for two or more days, buying an annual pass is the most economical choice. My daughter has a Disney water park annual pass linked in our My Disney Experience account, which means that it is linked to her MagicBand associated with the account. You can purchase your Disney water park tickets online. If you chose to purchase a water park annual pass, click on the link for "annual passes" at the top of the page. For water park tickets, we often wait and purchase them when we arrive at the water park as there is typically not a long line at the ticket windows at the water parks, and there are no FastPass+ reservations to make ahead of time at the water parks.

Have a wonderful time planning your Disney vacation Melissa, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
