i have never been to disney and do not have a clue on where to begin as far as the best deals for places to stay and what parks to visit for a family of five, please help!!!

    Hi, Tacola!

Welcome to Walt Disney World!  You are in for a real treat with your first magical vacation.   For the best deals, you will want to check the Special Offers.  You will sometimes find room discounts or even Free Dining!  (Hint:  if you book without an offer and one becomes available for your travel dates, call to see if you can update your reservation to reflect the savings!)

Your best value for rooms will be at a Value Resort.  I do not know the ages of your children, but these rooms are for a maximum of 4 guests plus one guest under the age of 3.  If all your kids are 3 or older, some of your options include 2 rooms, a Family Suite (All-Star Music has the best price) or upgrade to a Moderate Resort and stay at Port Orleans Riverside where they have rooms that can accommodate your entire family of 5.

I would start the planning process by choosing your dates, and begin the booking process.  You will not need to book it, but it will give you some general ideas on prices.  To keep your costs down, do not add on "options" to your park tickets like park hopping or water parks.  Try to travel during the promotion times to get that Free Dining, such a great deal!

Star with that Special Offer link above and see how it goes.  If you have questions along the way, let us know!  We will help you get your perfect vacation planned!  Good luck.
