does Disney not accept debit cards for payment on trip balance? We were able to make deposit and pay for tickets using debit card but site won't accept for payment on balance...

    Hi Kelly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be in the midst of planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. I am sorry to hear that you had some difficulty making the final trip payment!

As long as you are using an accepted method of payment, you should be able to use your card. If you are using one of the accepted methods of payment, there could be a number of other technical reasons why the system will not accept your card. I was unable to use my debit card once to pay off our trip balance because it had a maximum limit for the amount in any single purchase. This was an amount determined by the bank in accordance with the rules of the state in which we had opened the account. Although I do believe it was a fraud prevention mechanism, I was completely unaware of this limit until I could not make that charge. To get around the limit, I just broke the payment up into smaller amounts keeping in mind that the smaller amounts had to be different so that the system would not think they were duplicate (and/or fraudulent charges).

I suggest that you call and speak with a cast member at 407-939-5277. Once you provide the cast member with your specific debit card account information to make the final payment, the cast member may be able to give you additional information that might explain why the system would not accept your card. Or, you could always just double-check with your bank if that is easier.

In the meantime, I do hope all of your other plans are going swimmingly. Since you have already purchased your tickets, make sure that you have linked them to your My Disney Experience Account. If you have scheduled other special tours through the Enchanting Extras Collection and those confirmations are not linked to your My Disney Experience Account, you can currently add a note in My Disney Experience by clinking on "My Plans," "Add More Plans," and then "Notes."

Kelly, I do hope you are able to get this issue resolved!

    Magic and memories,
