Going to Disney next week. Should I rent a stroller in advance or when I get to the park?

    Hello Amanda! Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for sending us your great question about stroller rentals at Walt Disney World Resort. Your vacation is quickly approaching -- yay! As the mom of two Mouseketeers, I’ve done everything from traveling with my own stroller to renting a stroller at Walt Disney World. Every family is different, but renting a stroller at Walt Disney World has always been a great option for us!

Amanda, renting a stroller when you arrive at a Walt Disney World theme park or Disney Springs is very simple! Unless your child needs a stroller to get around the Disney Resort hotels or the airport, I always recommend renting your stroller upon arrival to the Walt Disney World theme parks or Disney Springs.

At the current time, single strollers (recommended for children 50 pounds or less) cost $15 per day to rent or $13 per day if you pre-pay a “Length of Stay” stroller rental. Upon arrival to Walt Disney World you can pre-pay the number of days that you will require a stroller and save money -- maximizing your souvenir and snack budget! That's what I call a win-win, Amanda. This is especially helpful if you know you will be needing a stroller every day. With your Length of Stay rental you simply show your receipt at the rental location (theme park or Disney Springs) to receive your stroller for the day.

Double strollers (recommended for children 100 pounds or less) cost $31 per day to rent or $27 per day with a Length of Stay stroller rental.

An additional bonus to renting a stroller at Walt Disney World is that you can be sure the stroller fits within the stroller sizing guidelines found in the Walt Disney World Resort rules.

Quick Tip: I encourage you to visit the “Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones” planning guide in advance of your vacation, Amanda! This guide is chock-full of planning tips for those traveling “the World” with little ones.
