We will be at Disney next week! We are a party of 6 and have the DDP, I read that an 18% gratuity is added to the bill. Is this charged to a room (we have 2 rooms booked and paid separately). Credit card used for dinner reservations? Can we leave cash?

    Hi Tiffany!

Thanks for sending another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your family vacation is so close, how exciting!  We will be at Walt Disney World next week as well and my daughter is too excited to sleep!

What you read is correct, parties of six guests or more will automatically be charged 18% gratuity.  The total gratuity will be shown at the bottom of your cheque and you are able to decide how you would like to pay the additional charges.  The Cast Members handle this type of situation regularly; because you are in two separate rooms, and using two different Disney Dining Plans,  the Gratuity will be split between the two parties.  Guests are able to put the charges on your Key to the World, you can leave cash or have the Cast Member put the charges on your Credit Card.

I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort next week!  Please let us know if you have any other last minute questions we would be happy to help!
