    We are going to Disney next week and will be getting the Dining Plus package that comes with one snack per day. What items in the parks qualify as a "snack"?

    Hi Kristie!

    Snacks at Walt Disney World are a treat for many guests regardless of whether they are on a Disney Dining Plan or not.  My own children think some snacks are a "must do" on any trip to Walt Disney World!

    The official plan states that a snack is a single serving of popcorn, fruit, chips, milk, an ice cream, or a non-alcoholic beverage.  However, I suggest just using that to get a feel for what a snack is.  There are a lot more things in the parks!  I think a good "rule of thumb" is a snack is usually a food item that costs about $4.00 or less, but there is no hard and fast rule!  Sometimes you can't use a snack credit on something less than that amount, while at other times you can use a snack credit on something that costs significantly more!  For example, in the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom, you could get a yogurt, bag of grapes, cinnamon roll, blueberry muffin, danish, carrot cake, fruit turnover, cookies, piece of pie, etc.

    The various menus in the parks will indicate what item qualifies as a snack.  Keep your eyes while touring the parks and don't be afraid to ask a Cast Member when in doubt!  I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
