Hi. We are going to Disney next week. I had bought the older version magic band in Jan 2016. It was still in the packaging all this time. Will the battery still work? Thank you

    Hi Melissa,

I hope my answer gets to you before you arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth for your vacation! Disney suggests that MagicBands will remain active for approximately two years before the battery wears out. I recommend that you bring the one which you previously purchased, and keep the packaging as well. I would head to Guest Relations at any of the four major theme parks, or at Disney Springs. Be sure to bring the MagicBand and packaging with you. Simply explain the situation and see if they can test it for you and / or if they would be willing to replace it for you with one that contains a fresh battery.

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Kaylene
