Going to Disney next March and wanted to decide between the Boardwalk Villas or the Towers at the Contemporary. We have 3 kids: 1 daughter (7) and 2 boys (5 and 2 years old) at the time of travel. Thoughts?

    Hi Cinthia,

Ah, you are bringing up a debate within my family!  My favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort, and our home resort, is Disney's BoardWalk Villas.  My husband and daughter have recently declared their favorite to be Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  I do love both resorts.  Let me offer some thoughts on why you might chose either for your trip.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is sleek, modern, and lovely.  The proximity to Magic Kingdom Park is amazing - you can walk there!  If you are considering a one-bedroom villa, these are very spacious, and they offer two bathrooms.

I love the hustle and bustle at Disney's BoardWalk Villas.  You can enjoy a quick walk to Epcot, and just a slightly longer walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios, or you can take a boat ride to either.  The one-bedroom villas here will be slightly smaller than at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and will have one bathroom.

If you are planning to spend the most time at Magic Kingdom Park, I think that Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is probably the choice to make. If you think that you will spend more time at Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, then Disney's BoardWalk Villas might be a better fit.  If you plan to spread your time evenly, then I suggest that you take a look at each resort and consider which theme appeals the most to you.  Also consider if the extra space and bathroom at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort are important to you.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Cinthia!  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
