I am a Disney newbie and am wondering what you do with your cell phones during the thrill rides and roller coasters. Can backpacks go on those rides with you? Can't afford to lose my phone! Thanks Mom's Panel!!

    Hi Dallas,

Rest assured, your cell phone will most likely be fine. I've brought my cell phone on many Disney attractions, and I've never had a problem. You can bring a bag or backpack with you in the ride vehicles. In many cases there is a netted compartment provided for your belongings. I might suggest bringing a plastic zip-top bag or other waterproof container to put your phone in if you plan on riding Kali River Rapids or even Splash Mountain.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
