    We will be in Disney 2/4/10 and need to get from Port Orleans to Whispering Canyon for dinner. Are taxis available & waiting at the resort or must you call for a taxi? How much would it cost? Thanks so much - love the moms panel!

    Hi Kelly!  A taxi would certainly be the best mode of transportation if you want to get there quickly.  This trip would take approximately 14 minutes and the next best option would be to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the Wilderness Lodge bus. The actual ride time is about 35 minutes but you have to add on quite a bit of wait time for the buses.

    Taxis are often outside many of the resorts throughout the day.  Check with your bell stand or front desk as to the best way to call for a cab and give yourself about ten minutes.  You won't have to wait long.  I have not taken this exact trip but it should be less then $20.  If you have a large group you can request a van taxi which holds more people.  There are many of these on property so again your wait would not be long.
