Hi Disney Mums. My parents have organised for the whole family (14 of us) to visit Disney World. As we are from Australia it will be very expensive for us to use our mobile phones to stay in touch with everyone. Do you have any cheaper suggestions? Thanks

    Hi, Amanda!

It sounds like you've got a simply fantastic family vacation coming up real soon! I can't think of a better place for a big family vacation than the Walt Disney World Resort!

I can certainly understand wanting to stay in touch while touring the Parks and I'm thinking there might be a few options for you to try. There is a great smartphone app called Viber that if everyone in your family downloads it, it provides free calls and messages. You can also try Skype for mobile phones; that's my favorite! Another option for just text messaging is Google Hangouts.

You may want to check with your wireless provider prior to your vacation and make sure that when you're connected to the free wifi for Guests, it is not counting toward international data charges or anything similar while you're using any of the free apps I mentioned.

I sure hope some of these ideas help you out, Amanda. Please feel free to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have as you continue to plan.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
