    We have been to Disney multiple times but this is the first time we are staying at the Polynesian. We will be there Nov 26 - 29. Are there any special activities at the Polynesian that are a must see while we are there?

    Hello Nicholas! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a unique Walt Disney World Resort experience as far as Resort Hotels are concerned. Some of the reasons it stands apart are the theming and experiences available exclusively at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

    Be sure to request a Recreation Calendar upon Checking-In for an up-to-date list of special activities going on at the Resort as they are subject to change without notice and anything I list here may not occur during your visit.

    Two of my favorite unique activities are the Torch-Lighting Ceremony and Hula Dance Training that occur in the main lobby (or just outside) of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at various times throughout the week. The Torch-Lighting Ceremony often gets a volunteer to help assist in the festivities, so be sure to arrive slightly early if you hope to be selected. The Hula Dance Training is open to any Guests with a desire to shake their hips.

    Finally, no stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is complete without experiencing the combination of the Happily Ever After Fireworks Show at Magic Kingdom and Electrical Water Pageant - Magic Kingdom Park from the beach, preferably with Dole Whips from Pineapple Lanai in hand.
