Disney is moving to eliminate single-use plastics, including straws, which are now banned. Is that all straws or just plastic straws? I already bring steel straws with me everywhere + I'm wondering if metal ones will still be permitted in.

Hi Kaley and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm so glad you're doing your part to care for our environment! I'm also proud Disney Parks is committed to reducing single-use plastics, including plastic straws, in the parks and resorts. I spoke with a Cast Member and you will be thrilled to know you are allowed to bring your reusable straws with you when you visit the parks. While Disney Parks is committed to reducing plastics in the parks, they are not yet prohibiting guests from bringing their own straws. Of course, the exception is Disney's Animal Kingdom Park where plastic straws are completely prohibited. Fortunately, your reusable steel straws can be brought into all of the parks.

My daughter purchased steel straws for our family and you have just helped me remember to add them to our Walt Disney World packing list!

Kaley, thank you for visiting us with another great question. Please let us know if we can help you with any other questions!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
