Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marilyn. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Travel to the Walt Disney World Resort with an 11-month old? Absolutely! My daughter made her very first visit to the theme parks at 11-months old this summer, and she had a positively magical stay. Most of the
attractions are family-friendly, which means that Guests of all ages can experience them together! My daughter most loved attractions with gentle, easy tracks like Peter Pan's Flight and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. She also enjoyed boat rides like "it's a small world" and Na'vi River Journey. She was not a huge fan of character interactions, but my sons certainly were at that age!
I have a few tips to make traveling to the
Walt Disney World Resort with a little one in tow super easy. Pack a park bag with all the essentials you'll need for a happy baby. I usually pack diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, a few Ziploc bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, pacifiers, and my kiddos' favorite snacks. A stroller is an absolute MUST.
Strollers are available to rent from all four theme parks and Disney Springs, but we prefer to take our own City Mini stroller because it reclines completely back and features an extra-long shade. Finally, be sure to take an afternoon break. For my family, that means leaving the theme park and returning to our Resort hotel for a nap, but some downtime enjoying an afternoon performance like Festival of the Lion King also does the trick!
I hope this was helpful, Marilyn. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
