Going to Disney with my 18 month old it will be just him and I. Would you recommend the Dining Plan?

Are you planning on eating at  table service restaurants?  Do you want to take advantage of character dining or shows like Hoop De Doo Revue?  If that's the case, then by all means use the Dining plan.  It can be a great savings and your child can share your meal with you.

Otherwise, I think it would be best to pay as you go or possibly order the quick service dining plan.  That includes two quick service meals and one snack for each night.  A meal consists of a choice of entree, drink and dessert.  This is often more food than I would normally eat, but since it's included, I tend to eat it. Your son is not eligible for the dining plan.  He can share with you or you can order a separate meal for him.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
