Disney do I do Disney from flights, hotel tickets, food, best time of year for least $$$ wo losing experience? Trip for 1 mom and 1 10 yr old daughter. Thank you :)!!

Holly, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your first step is to select your vacation dates. Historically, September to early October and early to mid-January seem to be the least busy times to visit. With less crowds you can do more in less time.  At times, the Disney Dining Plan has also been offered free during these months. To check on specials, visit the Special Offers section of the Walt Disney World website.

Once you have your dates, it is time to think resorts. To help you stay on budget, Walt Disney World offers Value Resorts. These resorts have wonderful theming, pools, food courts, and exciting activities. My family's favorite is Disney’s Pop Century.

Next it is time to book your Magic Your Way Vacation Package! If you are taking advantage of any specials on the Special Offer page, use the links there to start booking your vacation. If not, you can visit the Magic Your Way Vacation Packages page. This planning tool is very user friendly and will walk you through every step and cover every detail. From this page you can book your resort, and purchase Park and airline tickets.

Not wanting to spend money on a rental car? No problem! You are able to use Disney complimentary transportation services starting with Disney’s Magical Express to take you to and from the airport and your resort. Once you are at the resort, there are Disney Transportation buses that will take you to all four Theme Parks, Water Parks, and the Downtown Disney Area (this area is soon to become Disney Springs).

    Happy planning Holly!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
