For the Disney Military Salute Annual Passes does the Military member need to be present and have a ticket? Or can they just be present and activate ours. My dad isn't really into Disney.

Hey there, pal. Welcome to planDisney!

Jamillia, as a fellow military spouse, it’s my pleasure to assist you today. On behalf of all my friends here at planDisney, thank you so much for your family’s service. We truly understand how important it is to make memories together, and Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to spend quality time with loved ones. Now, let’s get to your question!

For Military Salute Tickets, Eligible Service Members (or their spouses) must present valid military identification to purchase and use these tickets. After tickets have been activated for eligibility verification, the Eligible Service Member or spouse does not need to accompany their group for each park visit.

Please note: Each Eligible Service Member or spouse can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets total, regardless of ticket type, where they’re purchased, or which spouse makes the purchase. Of these, at least one ticket must be used by the Eligible Service Member or their spouse.

However, if the Eligible Service Member or their spouse is a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder at the time of purchase and when the tickets are used, they are not required to purchase a ticket for themselves. In this case, the maximum number of Military Salute Tickets that may be purchased is 5, under the same rules as above.

I’m so grateful that Disney offers these amazing benefits. My family has used them many times, and they always help us save a bit of money while enjoying the magic. I was excited to see that the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Tickets are now available. Being able to enjoy the theme parks multiple times is so incredible. Disney also offers special rates at its Disney Resort hotels for military personnel and their families, so be sure to explore those offers. You won’t want to miss out! Additionally, there’s a discounted Memory Maker price for military families. Just ask at Guest Services when you activate your Military Salute Tickets.

Jamillia, I hope this information has helped and that you have an absolutely sensational time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please come back and see us anytime. We're always here to help.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
