Welcome to planDisney, Lisa!
Mine is a military family, and we are so grateful for the fantastic discounts available to active and retired military members at the Walt Disney World Resort. We’re currently counting down until my husband returns from a deployment, and can’t wait to celebrate his homecoming in our very favorite vacation destination. I can’t think of a better place to spend our together time!
Let’s run through the three major military discounts available. Please be sure to look at the offer details on each one to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements.
Military Promotional theme park tickets are available in 4-day and 5-day tickets for travel through December 17, 2021. For pricing and eligibility, please see the offer’s web page. These tickets can be purchased at your local base ticket office; you can also order tickets through Shades of Green, the resort for military members and veterans on Walt Disney World property. These tickets can also be purchased at a Walt Disney World ticket window, but are tax free when purchased on base or at Shades of Green’s ticket office. You will need to link these tickets to your
My Disney Experience account in advance of your visit in order to make
Disney Park Pass reservations for each theme park you’d like to visit for each day of your vacation. When you arrive at Walt Disney World, you will need to visit a Guest Relations window to activate the tickets by showing your military ID.
There are also
military discounts on select Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms. To find out more about pricing and availability, please call (407) 939-7830. My family has gotten some truly amazing deals, and I’m sending pixie dusted wishes that you find some great savings with this discount.
Finally, there is also a military discount on
Memory Maker, which gives your family access to all your Disney PhotoPass photos and attraction photos and videos from your visit. The special military price is $98 through December 17, 2021; details are on the same page as the ticket offer. To purchase military discounted Memory Maker, stop by a Guest Relations window and show your military ID. I consider Memory Maker a must have during our visit, and love looking back on all the fun photos long after we’ve returned home.
Shades of Green is a great resource for military discounts at Disney and in Orlando. I recommend taking a look at their website for more information about those discounts, but also to see if you might be eligible and interested in staying there. Located just across the road from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, it has spacious rooms, a gorgeous golf course, a great pool, and an on-site Exchange. If you find you’re not eligible for
Disney’s discounts, there may be some other offers available through Shades of Green that help your family save a little on your vacation.
I know that was a lot of information, Lisa! Should you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow military family with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
