We'll be at Disney in mid-October with our then 23 month old. Would you recommend a regular stroller or a jogging stroller? Which is better to get around with? Thanks! Love the panel by the way, gotten lots of great advice!

    Hi Melissa,

You've picked a great time to visit!  The weather should be fabulously mild, and the crowds moderate!  Plus, your nearly two-year-old will elevate you to "super-mom" status after he lays his eyes on Mickey!

I've traveled to Disney with both regular and jogging strollers.  Both worked well.  My number one criteria is to pick a stroller that your son or daughter is comfortable in, and will sit in.  Next, I think a few features are helpful, including, a good-sized canopy to block out the sun, a decent basket, and the ability to be folded easily and carried onto the buses.  I also think a sturdy cup holder for both mom and tot are great (but not critical) add-ons.  If you are staying at one of the resorts on the monorail, you won't have to fold your stroller to board, so you can take that into consideration.  However, even at the monorail properties, you'll need to take a bus to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.

My husband is a "pro" at quickly folding and carrying even a double jogger onto a bus, so, as long as he's with us, I have no problem taking it along.  As for maneuvering around the parks, a jogger is certainly a pleasure to push, and many models have great, huge canopies.  When I travel alone or with my mom, I stick with lightweight, umbrella-style strollers, because the two of us have a hard time corralling our kids onto the bus and folding/lugging a big, heavy jogger.

I hope some of my thoughts help you make the right choice.  Have a wonderful vacation!
