We are going on the Disney Med cruise in July 2011. Should we get our euros before we leave or does disney provide currency exchange?

    Hi Tracey,

We sailed with Mickey in in the Med last year. It was a spectacular voyage!

For Euros, we waited until we landed in Barcelona and used an ATM machine in the airport. They are located after the arrival area and the machines have options to change to English.

Aboard the Disney Magic, Guest Services will also be able to exchange currency however you'll get the best rate via the ATM machines.

Also, remember to call your bank for any cards that you will be using overseas. I called our debit card bank and credit card bank to let them know that we were sailing on a Mediterranean cruise so that there would be no problem using our cards abroad.

You could get some Euros before you leave, just be aware of any exchange fees that will be imposed by your bank and compare the exchange rate as to what you would receive once in Barcelona!

    Enjoy a magical sailing!
