Hello, Charles and from one Pennsylvanian to another, allow me to welcome you to planDisney!
Charles, celebrating your wife’s milestone birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds just Magical and I’m happy to chat with you about how to add a little extra pixie dust.
First, let’s talk about your request for present presentation. Currently there are no available character meals at
Disney’s BoardWalk which unfortunately means Mickey is not able to stop by your table with a gift. As the Walt Disney World Resort continues to
operate in a state of phased reopening, character meals are operating a bit differently with more physical distancing in place and our favorite characters keeping a safe distance from guests.
At this time the following restaurants are offering character interactions:
-
Topolino’s Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera, located at Disney’s Riviera Resort
-
Chef Mickey’s, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
-
Garden Grill Restaurant, located at EPCOT
-
Hollywood & Vine, located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Now, Charles, while it might feel like your plans are falling apart faster than Mother Gothel fell out of Rapunzel’s tower, FEAR NOT! I have a few ideas that are worthy of a Disney Princess’ birthday.
First, if you’re hoping to dine on the BoardWalk and would like a surprise at the end of the meal, consider a reservation at
Ale & Compass Restaurant and ordering a celebration cake as a finale. You can read all about
Cakes at Walt Disney World HERE.
Another option that may interest you is a surprise in your villa from
Disney Floral and Gifts. Flowers, balloons, gift baskets and more can be delivered to your
Disney Vacation Club Resort and with a little bit of savvy you may be able to sneak in your gift to the delight of your wife.
Finally, Charles, if you had plans for a specific restaurant that I did not mention, I encourage you to speak with a Cast Member (
whether at the restaurant or at Disney's BoardWalk Villas) about any extra Magic you're able to add. While I wouldn't want to guess as to what tricks they might have up their sleeves, I know they love helping guests create Magical moments.
Charles, I'll be hoping that you're able to create a surprise for your wife as delightful as seeing those floating lanterns against the night sky. Please come back and see us here at planDisney with any additional questions you might have.
Wishing you the best of luck,
Lauren
