Thanks so much for stopping by with your question about the new
Disney Genie+ service! I've now had a couple of chances to use it recently and have found it to be a great way to save time and experience many of my favorite attractions at the
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks.
While Genie+ can be added to multi-day
Theme Park tickets in advance at the time of purchase, sometimes this isn't the best option for all Guests. For example, you may only want to use the Genie+ service on some days or for some but not all Guests. Or, if it is your first time using Genie+, you may want to try it out on the first day of your vacation before committing to purchasing it for your entire trip.
The Genie+ service allows Guests to book their first Lightning Lane selection of the day starting at 7 a.m., and while you can purchase Genie+ at any point throughout the day, I recommend purchasing it before 7 a.m. to ensure you're ready to make those first attraction selections. In fact, if you're up late, perhaps enjoying
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, you can purchase Genie+ any time after 12:00 a.m. (i.e., Midnight), so it's something you can even take care of before bed!
To purchase Genie+, simply navigate to
My Genie Day in the
My Disney Experience app by either clicking
My Day on the home screen or by tapping the menu button in the lower-right of the screen and clicking the
My Genie Day tile. You'll then scroll down to the purple bar and tap
Get Disney Genie+ for Today. From there you can select any linked Friends & Family with valid tickets and Park Pass Reservations for that day and purchase Genie+!
