We will be going to Disney on May 22. I read they will be having Star Wars weekend at that time at Hollywood Studios. My 7 yr old son is a huge fan. Do you have any tips for helping us get a good spot?

Star Wars Weekend isn't so much about getting a good spot as having the opportunity to participate in many, many activities that all have the "force" behind them.  Your son can meet characters, movie stars, train to be a Jedi, dance, watch the afternoon parade with LOTS of Stormtroopers, and even be part of a trivia contest.

You truly can wander around and enjoy all the offerings, especially if you can get there early (but I'd go to Toy Story Midway Mania and ride that first, then walk over to the Star Wars events since they are close by).  Make sure and grab a daily schedule when you arrive since that will help highlight the times for each events.

You might also want to explore www.allearsnet.com which has an extensive section on Star Wars Weekend with many other people's experiences & hints.  Currently, the home page has a link to the event.

Also, if you'd like some hints on having your son selected for the Jedi Training, you can click here for a little video on the topic. Just go to page 2 of the videos and click on the one with Darth Vadar in the square. I'll confess that I think the little Jedi in the video is mighty cute!
