I am going to disney May 29 through to June 12 . I was wondering how often is Disney effected by tornados or hurricanes?? I was told that the time I am going is prime time for that sort of weather. Should I be concerened??

Hi Lisa!  Weather is always unpredictable and impossible to forecast!

Hurricane season is not until later in the summer and into the fall for Florida.  Obviously anything can happen but in the past years and the data they have they now say that most hurricanes will occur from July through October.  I have never let it deter me from my annual trip to Walt Disney World in October for the Food and Wine Festival.

The summer months in Florida are wet and humid with the rain showers and thunderstorms happening almost daily.  The parks remain open for rainy days and rainy moments but Disney is always concerned for the safety of their guests and will close rides and attractions if the weather will cause any risk.  Many rides and attractions are indoors and can operate during these periods of inclement weather.
