Hi Allison,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question about bringing a baby to Walt Disney World Resort, a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Don’t be concerned - I've seen plenty of itty bitty babies during our visits to Walt Disney World Resort! Our son’s first visit took place when he was 5 months old and he erupted in one of his first giggle fits when he saw fireworks for the first time!! Even newborn babies are fascinated by their surroundings, and there is PLENTY to fascinate them at the Disney Parks.
You’ll be able to experience lots of attractions with your grandchild. If a given attraction in one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks or Water Parks doesn’t have a height requirement, your little one will be able to ride with you holding him or her. Check out the
Disney Parks Blog for a really great post about the various attraction height requirements for more inspiration about which attractions to visit during your upcoming vacation.
Another great resource is the
Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones page. It has lots of tips and tricks that will be useful for visiting Walt Disney World Resort with an itty bitty baby. Finally, if you need a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of the Parks, don’t forget to visit the
Baby Care Centres. Not only do they have amazing (HUGE) change tables, there is also a great room for nursing, complete with dim lighting and rocking chairs. It’s a great place to get out of the heat and get some peace and quiet… for both your grandchild and the rest of the family!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
