We're going to Disney in March and wanted our son to have a chance to participate in the Jedi Training Academy. Does Disney make any accommodations for kids with special needs? Was hoping we could sign him up ahead of time?

    Hi Helen!

The Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy is a great experience! My son still talks about it years later!

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to sign up for this before you head to Hollywood Studios. However, sign up for the day is now taken first thing in the morning, unlike years ago when children were randomly chosen from the crowd.

For your best chance at being involved in the show, arrive at Hollywood Studios about 30 minutes (perhaps slightly more if you're traveling during a holiday week) before park opening. When the park opens, head directly to the Jedi Training stage located near Star Tours. Ask a Cast Member there about how to sign up. They will direct you to the location where you'll need to sign up.

Also, the Times Guide for Hollywood Studios will list the daily schedule for the Jedi Training Academy. Be sure to pick one up!

Have fun at the parks! If you have any other planning questions, please don't hesitate to stop by the Moms Panel again. We love to help out!
