Hi Alison!
Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for asking about one of my favorite topics in the world: FOOD! It’s easy to see why Disney Cruise Line
earns rave reviews from Guests and
top ratings in the industry, and one of the key reasons for that is the fabulous food.
Like you, I am a huge fan of Disney Cruise Line’s dining. But that shouldn’t change for you now that you are vegan. First step: I would recommend that you
contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent to have your food preferences noted on your reservation. They will then make sure your rotational dining team knows about you all being vegan. Additionally, during your Online Check-In, Vegan is one of the boxes you can mark indicating your dietary preference.
I will say that Guests with dietary needs are usually best accommodated at table service restaurants. (You can still find vegan options at quick service spots and from room service. Just be sure to ask!) Since your
rotational dining team travels with you to a new dining room each night, they will continue to be aware of your vegan preferences. They can also provide recommendations for what options are available and can give you the next evening’s menu so that you can pre-order your selections. They are also happy to offer dishes from another menu or can in certain instances modify a dish to be vegan. The main point is to let Disney Cruise Line know your dietary needs, and the Cast Members will go over the top to ensure that you are satisfied.
Glad that we could DISH about food, Alison! Come back to planDisney if you'd like more morsels of planning tips. Hope your
Disney Magic at Sea voyage is your best
Disney Magic experience yet!
Bon Appétit!
