Hi Justin! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for reaching out to us with your question!
Wait a minute...you're going next week?!
NEXT WEEK?!?! Okay, people. All hands on deck! Operation Most Magical Place on Earth is a go! Stuff all of your clothing in a bag, grab your
MagicBands, your
Mickey and Minnie Ears, your
Halloween outfits, and let's GO! This is NOT a drill!
Oh, sorry. I got a bit excited there for a minute. There's just no greater excitement than when the countdown to your next
Walt Disney World Resort trip gets to single digits. And this time of year, there's so much to look forward to like
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, meeting
Mirabel from
Encanto in
Magic Kingdom Park, and seeing her Tío Bruno in the
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! My upcoming trip is almost in the single digits and I can't wait!
At this time the only smart watch that the
Disney MagicMobile Service is available on is the Apple Watch. However, you
are able to use this service on your Apple or Android phone, as long as it meets the requirements. And of course, if you have a MagicBand, you can use that for many of the same purposes as an Apple Watch and then some! If it's a
MagicBand+, it'll even interact with some attractions and the
nighttime spectaculars!
When visiting the parks with others, I often have a mixture of Guests using their phone, their watch, a MagicBand, or even a card procured from
Guest Relations. There really is a way to navigate the parks for everyone, whether you are super comfortable with technology, aren't comfortable at all, or, like most of us, are somewhere in between!
Justin, I hope your excitement multiplies tenfold once you actually reach the resort. I'm pretty confident it'll bring a smile to your face and all that are traveling with you. If you have any other questions,
feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to find those answers for you!
Reach out and find your happily ever after,
Matt
