Disney Magic Cruise in Jan. 2011, have 6 month old and almost 3 yo. When would you suggest using the nursery to free up time for us (mom and dad)? For example, at port destinations? at sea? during dinners? Thanks!

    Hi David,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I love to hear from guests sailing with little ones - I've always felt that the Disney Cruises were some of the easiest vacations we took with our infants and toddlers.

It really is what you are most comfortable with.  Personally, I would feel more comfortable leaving them at Flounders Reef Nursery while I was still onboard.  While there are no restrictions on the parents leaving the ship while they are in the care of the nursery - you should know that the "pagers" have a limited range so you could be out of contact with your child's care providers.

I would book nursery time for the days at sea, so you could steal a little time away at the spa - have you seen the Spa Villas?  It would also be nice for you to share a nice quiet meal at Palo or a movie at the Buena Vista Theater.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any other questions!
