Welcome to planDisney, Sarah! And welcome to the magic of Walt Disney World! Since you're already at the Most Magical Place on Earth, let's get right to your question so you can get back to making memories!
Sarah, unfortunately, once a
MagicBand has been linked to a guest's
My Disney Experience account, it cannot be transferred to a different guest account. So if the MagicBand you have is already connected to your husband, only your husband can use that band while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.
I know this may not be the magical answer you had hoped to hear, but I'm happy to offer you a few alternatives for accessing the magic for the rest of your stay:
- Visit a Guest Relations window or the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel if you're staying on-site and request a Key to the World Card. This plastic card works the same as a MagicBand for tapping into the parks, accessing your Lightning Lane passes, and connecting your Disney PhotoPass photos.
- Enable Disney MagicMobile Service on your personal electronic device to access these same features.
- Check the gift shops in the stores at the theme parks and resort hotels, and treat yourself to your own MagicBand! What better reason to grab a new souvenir than wanting to access the magic with the most magical accessory on Earth!
Sarah, I hope this helps, and no matter what you decide, I hope you have the best time tapping into the magic and memories of your Disney vacation! Come see us again anytime here at
planDisney with any other vacation planning questions!
Embrace the Magic,
Alison
