An Alaskan cruise is such an amazing itinerary, and I’m so incredibly excited for you! While I have not sailed it
yet, it is definitely at the top of my must-sail list. However, all of my planBesties who have sailed on an
Alaskan Disney cruise have all described it as being pretty much life-changing! I have sailed on board the beautiful
Disney Magic, and absolutely loved it. I would love to answer your question regarding using DisneyBand+ for your Alaskan sailing.
DisneyBand+ is one of my favorite modern Disney cruise additions because it took so many of the things that I love about using MagicBand+ in the Disney theme parks and brought them on board! I love being able to open my stateroom door, pay for items on board,
access all of my cruise photos, and so much more!
DisneyBand+ does work on board the Disney Magic and
can be purchased before your cruise. It can be shipped directly to your house and
should arrive within approximately 10 business days.
In order to purchase a DisneyBand+ while at home, you should open your reservation on the Disney Cruise Line website and scroll down to “Purchase a DisneyBand+”. From here, follow the directions to purchase.
There are some items to note when purchasing DisneyBand+ at home. You must be a United States resident, as it can
only be shipped to a valid United States address. Your upcoming sailing must also be further than11 days, in order to account for the processing and shipping time.
My recommendation is to double-check that the correct address and sail date are input on your reservation. If it all looks correct, I recommend
contacting Disney Cruise Line to ensure that everything is in order on your reservation, so that you may purchase DisneyBand+ at home.
You also have the option to purchase DisneyBand+ on board your cruise. After purchasing, you can head to the
Guest Services Desk, where they will be happy to connect it to your reservation.
Lastly, I recommend
charging your DisneyBand+ at the end of each night on board your cruise. This will ensure that it's always ready for you to use the next morning when you start your magical day at sea!
