Disney Los Angeles offer scooters vs wheelchair!

Hey there, Jodie, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm happy to report that you have quite a few options for Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) and Wheelchair rentals at the Disneyland Resort

You can rent single-rider, 3-wheel scooters or manual wheelchairs outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park main entrance. The manual wheelchairs currently cost $15.00 per day and the ECVs are $60.00 per day (prices subject to change - check the webpage I linked above to confirm pricing when you visit).

These rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, are subject to availability, and they are not able to be reserved. If you would prefer to make a reservation and are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, there is a Disney Featured Provider called ScooterBug that you can make reservations with instead. Their contact information is also available on the page I linked above or you can call them directly at (800) 726-8284.

There are quite a few services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities! Specifically, you might want to look into the Disability Access Service (DAS). Members of my family have been able to utilize this service and it has made their visits so much more comfortable! With this service, you're able to request a return time for a specific experience that is comparable to the current standby wait. This frees you up from having to stand in the standby lines, and instead, you access the attraction through the Lightning Lane entrance at your return time.

If you're interested in the DAS, I highly recommend pre-registering with DAS Advance. You'll set up a time for a video call with a Cast Member who will determine if you're eligible for the service, and if so then will get you all set to utilize it during your visit. You can pre-register as early as 30 days prior to your visit, but no less than 2 days before your arrival.

I hope that was helpful, Jodie! Thank you again for your question, and please come back to see us here at planDisney if there is anything else we can do to help you plan your best trip ever to the Disneyland Resort.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
